Here are a couple of sobering facts to commemmerate National Teen Driver Safety Week, which will fall on October 15th through October 21st this year:

• Auto accidents are the leading cause of death for teens from 15 to 18 years old in the United States of America. This places them ahead of death caused by any other type of injury, disease, or violence.

• Approximately 99,000 teenage drivers were injured in auto accidents every year.
